Zendaya breaks Emmys records

Zendaya makes history for her Emmys, becoming the youngest person to win the Emmy for Lead Actress in a Drama series for her role in Euphoria and the second Black actress to win the category in 72 years.

“I know this feels like a really weird time to be celebrating, but I just want to say that there is hope in the young people out there,” @Zendaya said in her (virtual) acceptance speech.

By the way, Emmys looked different this year, instead of  walking the red carpet with hundreds of photographers and fans, 2020 nominees hosted their own events.

Later, on her Instagram stories, Zendaya wrote that she’s “so grateful, still speechless” and that she’s going to go to sleep to make sure this isn’t a dream.

Warmest congratulations to the 24 year-old actress. Keep rising!
